The installation process for stone LVT flooring

Ⅰ. Ground testing


1、Use the temperature and humidity meter to detect the temperature and humidity, indoor temperature as well as the surface temperature to 15 ℃ is appropriate, should not be below 5 ℃ and above 30 ℃ construction. The relative air humidity suitable for construction should be between 20% and 75%.

2、Use the moisture content tester to test the moisture content of the ground base, the moisture content of the ground base should be less than 3%.

3、The strength of the ground base should not be lower than the requirement of concrete strength C-20, otherwise a suitable self-levelling should be used to strengthen the strength and flatness

4、The test result with hardness tester should be that the surface hardness of the ground base is not less than 1.2 MPa.

5、For the construction of stone plastic flooring material, the levelness of the ground base should be less than 2mm in height difference within 2m straightedge, otherwise suitable self-levelling should be used for levelling.


Ⅱ. The ground pretreatment


1、Use more than 1000 watts of floor sanding machine with appropriate grinding pad to sand the floor as a whole to remove paint, glue and other residues, raised and loose pieces of ground, and empty drums must also be removed.

2、Use an industrial hoover of not less than 2000 watts to vacuum and clean the flooring.

3、For cracks on the flooring, stainless steel reinforcement as well as polyurethane waterproofing type adhesive surface paved with quartz sand can be used for repair.


Ⅲ. Self-levelling construction - priming


1、Absorbent ground level such as concrete, cement mortar levelling layer should first use a multi-purpose interface treatment agent diluted with water at a ratio of 1:1 for sealing and priming.

2, non-absorbent ground such as tile, terrazzo, marble, etc., it is recommended to use the dense interface treatment agent for priming.

3、If the moisture content of the ground is too high (>3%) and the construction is needed immediately, an epoxy interface treatment agent can be used for priming, but the premise is that the moisture content of the ground should not be greater than 8%.

4. The construction of the interface treatment agent should be even, without obvious accumulation of liquid. After the surface of the interface treatment agent is air-dried, the next step of self-levelling construction can be carried out.


Ⅳ. Self-levelling construction - mixing


1、Pour a packet of self-levelling cement into a mixing bucket with water following the specified water-to-cement ratio and mix while pouring.

2、To ensure even mixing of the self-levelling, use high power, low-speed electric drill with a special mixer for mixing.

3、Stir until the slurry is homogeneous and free from lumps, leave it to ripen for about 3 minutes and stir it again briefly.

4. The amount of water added should be strictly by the water to ash ratio (please refer to the corresponding self-levelling instructions). Too little water will affect fluidity. Too much will reduce the strength after curing.

Ⅴ. Self-levelling construction - laying


1、Pour the mixed self-levelling slurry onto the construction floor, it will flow on its own and level the ground, if the design thickness is ≤2mm, it needs to be slightly scraped with the help of a special tooth scraper.

2、Subsequently, the construction personnel should be allowed to wear special spiked shoes and enter the construction ground with a special self-levelling deflating roll 3、Please close the site immediately after the construction is completed, no walking for 5 hours, avoid heavy impacts for 10 hours, and the laying of the stone plastic flooring can be carried out after 24 hours.

4、Winter construction, the laying of the floor should be carried out after 48 hours of self-levelling construction.

5、If you need to finely polish the self-levelling, it is appropriate to do so after 12 hours of self-levelling construction.

Roller in the self-levelling surface gently rolling, will be mixed in the mixing of air released, to avoid bubble pockmarked surface and interface height difference.


Ⅵ.  The floor paving - pre-paving and cutting


1、The floor should be placed horizontally at the paving site for more than 48 hours, open the packing box so that the material memory is restored and the temperature is consistent with the construction site.

2、Sheet laying, two pieces of material should be close to each other and no joints.


Ⅶ. The floor paving - paste


1、Choose the glue and scraping board suitable for stone and plastic sheet flooring (avoid using pressure-sensitive glue, 25 kg glue paving area cannot exceed 80 square metres).

2、When block paving, the floor tiles must be pounded with a rubber hammer to make them stick firmly and prevent warping caused by not sticking firmly.

3, different laminating agents in the construction of the requirements will be different, please refer to the corresponding glue product instructions for construction.

4, the closing edge from the wall spacing 6-8MM, leave expansion space, the length of more than 15 meters should be in the middle of the expansion space 6-8MM, the floor surface excess glue should be wiped away promptly.


Ⅷ. the floor cleaning, maintenance


1、Stone plastic flooring is developed and designed for indoor places, and should not be used in outdoor venues.

2, please according to the factory recommended method, choose the corresponding cleaning agent for regular cleaning and maintenance.

3, should avoid toluene, banana water and other high concentration of solvents and strong acid, strong alkali solution poured on the surface of the floor, should avoid the use of inappropriate tools and sharp tools scraping shovel or damage to the surface of the floor.
